DJ + Diane = a Deal I can’t resist!
It’s not everyday that you pop into your favourite store to check out what’s new and there’s a party going on inside. The DJ is spinning electro-pop tunes, people are munching on free candies and sipping iced lattes and every shopper carries around the cutest Diane von Furstenberg canvas bag. What is this, some kind of alternate shopping universe? Not quite, outside the glass front doors life as we knew it was going on as usual, but Holt Renfrew’s third floor was pretty close to fashion heaven.
Lipstick-kissed, limited edition silk-screened totes were free with any purchase of $500 or more in the contemporary department. It was like someone handing you the best trick-or-treat bag filled with goodies, but this time instead of a pillowcase filled with tootsie rolls and lollipops the bags were stuffed with grown up indulgences.
Each bag was slightly different but as I picked through mine I found a Marc by Marc tank and boxers, Theory tights, a Rich and Skinny notebook, Bobbie Brown makeup, a Just Cavalli keychain and every contemporary girl’s best friend, Hanky Pankys.
This weekend at Holt Renfrew brought out some of Toronto’s most stylish and the Holts DVF bag was too much to resist. It was a great weekend to treat myself to something special!
Contemporary Weekend
This past weekend Holt Renfrew held a special 2-day event. When anyone spent $500 or more in the women’s contemporary department they received an uber cute limited edition Diane von Furstenberg for Holt Renfrew Canvas Bag filled with designer goodies! Think: Theory, Hanky Panky, Bobbi Brown cosmetics, a Rich & Skinny day timer, the new fragrance sampler from Michael Kors and even Marc Jacobs Pjs! Happy shoppers were all over the store on both days enjoying the special gifts and their newly bought fall wardrobe additions.
The contemporary section of Holt Renfrew has really re-invented itself with the constant plethora of new and exciting brands being added to the already full circle containing favorites like Elizabeth & James, Alexander Wang, Alice & Olivia, 3.1 Phillip Lim, Opening Ceremony to name a few. I walked around and admired the creativity put behind the contemporary displays that reminisced a very cool back alley with graffiti signage all over it.
Holts contemporary is truly a fashionista’s heaven….
